Overview

WAGO Device Manager is a software for configuring and parameterizing WAGO products^*). It provides support during commissioning and throughout the entire product life cycle of the devices used.
The software is installed locally on an engineering PC or laptop.

The following functions are supported ^*):

Device Settings, Configuration and Parameterization
WAGO Device Manager is primarily used to configure hardware components.

Parameter Upload/Download
Parameters can be received by uploading from a device and transferred by downloading to a device.
Online & Offline Parameterization
Parameterization can be done offline and transferred to a device at a later time.

Changing the Firmware
The device firmware can be changed using an update file.
Backup/Restore
Device data can be backed up and restored.
License Management
Some device functions may be protected by license mechanisms. You can activate and manage licenses in WAGO Device Manager.
Device Diagnostics
You can use device diagnostics to run a wiring test as well as display LED signals and current device data for diagnostic purposes.
Logging
You can retrieve and display logged device data. Various filter functions can be used for this purpose.

^*) Newer-generation WAGO devices are supported. Please refer to your product’s manual to see whether your product is supported. The functions described may also differ depending on the device. Your device may not support all functions.
