Optimization of Self Consumption by Heat Pump Compressor Flexibility (OHPCF)

This use case describes the combination of the “Customer Energy Manager” (CEM) and an electric heat pump compensator with the aim of optimizing the power consumption of the heating system and thereby achieving economic or ecological goals.

Scenarios

• Scenario 1 – Monitor heat pump compressor's power consumption flexibility
  Checks whether the heat pump compressor is currently providing optimal consumption of electrical energy.
• Scenario 2 – Control heat pump compressor's power consumption flexibility
  This scenario describes whether and how a CEM can recommend that the compressor activate or interrupt a power-consuming process.
