Entity Properties

The representation of an entity in the WAGO Solution Builder is freely configurable. In addition to selecting an individual icon, you can also configure the fields that are to be displayed. The following list of entity properties provides an overview of the options for configuring an entity.
Changes to entity properties can be made in the following sub-areas:
- 8 “Type details” area
- 8 “Addressing System Format” Area
- 8 “Device management” area (only available for devices/controllers)

Label | Name of the entity | |
Icon | Option for selecting the icon that will be displayed with the entity type label in the structure tree. You can choose icons from the system’s standard catalog or custom icons from the user-specific catalog. You can find more information under 8 “ICONS” Tab. | |
ID | ID of an entity type for unique internal identification; it is automatically preset by the system, but you can customize it if you prefer. | |
Class | The “Class” property assigns a logic to an entity type. This ignores existing logics that are already present in the addressing system on the system side. Each class can be assigned to only a single type. | |
