Installing WAGO Solution Builder on Linux

The following installation options are available:

• Full install:
  Installs all the components in the work environment used. All the components can then be used without limitation and executed in this work environment.
• Distributed installation:
  Only installs individual components in the work environment used. All the other components can then be installed and run in other external work environments. For example, individual components could be executed on a local PC and the other components on a higher-level server. The following three components are available for distributed installation:
• WAGO Solution Builder
• Device Communication Service
• PostgreSQL database server

Please observe the following:

• Use different ports for each application.
• The PostgreSQL password and port must be entered twice in consecutive installation steps. Be sure to remember what you entered for both!
• You can access the help function on Linux with -h.
