Updating Addressing Systems

In the WAGO Solution Builder software, the addressing systems that are provided by default should be updated after a software update. This is necessary when solutions have already been created and linked to an addressing system. Doing so ensures that full scope of all newly implemented features can be used.

For newly created solutions, the addressing systems provided by default do not need to be updated. They should be updated accordingly in a subsequent update.

Only manual modification is possible for customer-specific addressing systems. Therefore, they are not affected by a software update.

1. You need to have performed a software update.
2. There must be at least one existing solution with a default addressing system.

1. Select the “Solutions” menu item.
2. Select the solution for which you want to update the default addressing system.
3. Click the drop-down menu in the “Addressing System” column and select Update Addressing System.
4. The addressing system is updated in the context of the new software version.
4. Perform the subsequent steps described in section  Reloading the Device Model and Updating All Linked Device Instances.
