“Localbus” Tab
You can set cycle times and event controls for the internal bus in this tab.
If I/O modules that communication via the local bus are used for a PFC in a project, the I/O modules defined in the program and the actual I/O modules (actual configuration) are compared when loading the PLC program in the PFC.
If differences in the configuration are detected, the “Program start interlock” parameter defines whether the PLC program is executed.
If the Program start interlock is enabled (default), the PLC program does not start. Configuration deviations and the resulting program start lock are displayed in the device messages as errors.
The error is output in the controller's WBM and as a blink code (MS LED) on the device itself (see product manual of the PFC concerned).
If the Program start interlock is disabled, the program starts despite the inconsistent configuration. However, I/O modules deviating from the target configuration are excluded from process data exchange.
Configuration changes are displayed as warnings at the following places in e!COCKPIT:
- In the “Device Log” panel
- In the “Localbus” tab below the Device Detail view if the relevant I/O module is selected
- In the respective status indicators, e.g., in the device structure and in ToolTips
The [IEC Objects] button opens a window that displays the libraries instantiated by the device.
