Uninstall

Securely uninstalling the app helps prevent various attacks. A secure uninstallation meets at least the following requirements:

  • Software is uninstalled
  • Software data is deleted from the environment
      
      
      
    1. To uninstall, go to the Start menu > WAGO Software and in the WAGO Device Manager context menu, click [Uninstall].
      Alternatively:
      Open the Windows Start menu and click the gear icon (settings). Open the “Apps” > “Installed Apps” page and select WAGO Device Manager. Then click on the three dots or directly on [Uninstall].
    2. The WAGO Device Manager setup dialog opens.
    3. To remove all saved user settings during uninstallation, select the “Remove user settings on uninstall” option.
      If the checkbox is not set, the following user settings are retained by default:
      • Certificate exceptions
      • IP address range set for the network scan
      • Recently opened projects
      • Window view used
      • Language
    4. To remove the software, click [Uninstall].
    5. Note: The license repository is not removed during uninstallation because it may be used by other systems on your engineering PC.
