Device Log

In this view, logged entries for the device can be displayed.

Before retrieving the log entries, display filters can be used to select different log levels (severity of the message) for viewing.

The entries are sorted by timestamp. The latest entry is at the bottom of the list.

Configure device log in the “Settings” tab!

You can configure which device messages are logged in general on the “Settings” tab under “Logging.” The “Device Log” tab only displays the configured device logs and offers additional filter options.

Option/Button

Description

Max. number of entries

Specifies the maximum number of entries that are read by the device (default: 100).

Min. log level

Filters the displayed log entries by the log level.

Log sources

Filters the log sources of the log entries by the character string entered and only displays corresponding entries.

Log entries (from point in time)

If you select this option, you can select the date and time from which the log entries are displayed via a calendar. In this way, the results can be limited to the last 20 minutes, for example.

Displays the log entries based on the configuration and the selected filters.

Table content

Displays the following information for each log entry:
Timestamp (creation time of the entry), source (service/service that created the log entry), log level (severity of the entry) and, if necessary, other information, depending on source/service
Entries are sorted by timestamp from oldest (top) to newest (bottom).
