WAGO Devices as EtherNet/IP Masters (License Required)

The following WAGO devices can be operated as EtherNet/IP masters with the corresponding software license in e!COCKPIT and thus offer fieldbus master functionality:

* Note: As precondition for the use of the EtherNet/IP master functionality, a touch panel must have a PLC license as a control panel (“e!RUNTIME PLC 600”). You can find out whether your touch panel already has this license by default (PIO3) or whether it may be possible to license it after the fact (PIO2) by consulting the data sheet of your touch panel.

The EtherNet/IP license is registered in e!COCKPIT, assigned to a device and loaded together with the project into the device (for a short description, see Use License for EtherNet/IP Master). Alternatively, this can also be done with “WAGOupload.”

Note

Additional notes on licenses

The minimum e!COCKPIT version for using the licenses is V1.10.

The license certificate is sent by email. The software itself is already included in e!COCKPIT.

To activate the license, an internet connection to the computer on which e!COCKPIT is used may be required.

The single license allows installation on one device, i.e. one license is required for each master device.

Without a license, the EtherNet/IP functionality can be used free of charge for 30 days.

Note

Information about licensing in the e!COCKPIT product manual:

The e!COCKPIT product manual describes in detail how licensing is handled. It describes how to acquire licenses, activate them, assign them to devices and link them in the device (see “Purchasing a License,” “Activating the License” and “Activating Runtime Licenses” in the e!COCKPIT product manual).
