“Communication Settings” Tab
This tab shows settings for the compatibility check and the process of writing user parameters to the slave.
Parameter | Value | Description |
---|---|---|
Perform Compatibility Check Type plate data: | The master sends the type plate data entered in e!COCKPIT to the slave. If this option is enabled, the slave performs a compatibility check between this type plate data and its own device data. If the data is compatible, a connection is established. If the data is not compatible, no connection is established. However, the extent to which the slave performs the check depends on the respective slave, i.e. it is manufacturer-dependent. Therefore, the slave may not evaluate all the type plate data in some cases. | |
If this option is disabled, the compatibility check can be restricted to certain type plate data via individual checkboxes. The slave only checks the type plate data that is explicitly selected for compatibility with its own device data. In this case, compatibility means that the value of the selected type plate data must match the device data of the slave. If the slave is not compatible with the selected type plate data, no connection is established. | ||
Write User Parameters to the Slave Device | Specifies that the master sends the user parameters (see the “User Parameters” Tab tab in the data point configurator) to the slave of the selected connection. | |
The user parameters are not sent to the slave of the selected connection. |
