“User Parameters” Tab

User parameters appear on this tab if they are defined in the EDS file of the device. The parameters are transferred to the device once during the phase of the startup process provided for this and serve to configure/parameterize the device (see also “Explicit Messaging”).

Note: As far as possible, use the displayed user parameters, if they are available for your device. Editing or adding new user parameters is mainly used for “Generic_EtherNet/IP_Adapter.” Changes can also be made for EDS-based devices, but these are advanced settings that require very good knowledge of the device and are not required for common applications.
