“TAGS“ Tab

The “TAGS” tab allows the entity to be described using one or more tags. Any tag can be entered as free text, which is then offered in all other tag fields as well. Depending on the configuration in the addressing system, default tags are also available for selection to allow uniform tagging across solutions.

This tab appears with varying contents, depending on the level type when each entity is selected.

Tag

Option for selecting one or more tags

The selection list can be edited in the addressing system. In the example given here, tags from “Project Haystack“ ( https://project-haystack.org/) are available for selection.

There are also predefined tags that originate from the software. These are called system tags and trigger specific actions; they are described in more detail in the relevant context. The following tags exist:

  • BACnet/HR
If this tag is assigned, “HotReload” functionality is added to the device settings of the relevant controller. With firmware 31 and above, this functionality is included by default.
  • BACnet/SC
If this tag is assigned, “BACnet/SC” functionality is added to the device settings of the relevant controller. With firmware 31 and above, this functionality is included by default.
  • Network:*
If a tag is created according to this pattern, the WAGO Solution Builder software automatically creates a filter with this name and simultaneously searches for this tag. The tag can be extended with a freely defined suffix, for example Network:BACnet.
  • Certificate:*
A tag in this format (exception: Certificate:node) is assigned to the server and the clients that need to receive a server certificate (see  Generating Server Certificates and Synchronizing with Connected Controllers). The tag can be extended with a freely defined suffix, for example Certificate:MQTT.
  • Certificate:node
A tag in this format is assigned to the controllers that need to receive a node certificate (see  Generating Node Certificates and Synchronizing with Connected Controllers).
  • ProtectPasswords
A tag in this format is assigned to the controllers that need to be excluded from password changes (see  “Security“ Menu Item).
  • IgnoreUserLedsInOperationState
A tag in this format is assigned to the controllers for which the user LEDs need to be excluded during calculation of the operating state (see  “CONTROLLER“ Tab).
