Intended Use

The plug-in serves as an extension of the EPLAN Electric P8 and Pro Panel software from the EPLAN Electric manufacturer. The plug-in supplements EPLAN with functions for importing and exporting data from or to the WAGO Engineering Tools, WAGO Configurator Smart Designer and WAGO Marking Software Smart Script.

Improper Use

Improper use of the interface is not permitted. The following cases in particular constitute improper use:

• Non-observance of the intended use
• Use of the interface in areas with special risk that require fault-free continuous operation and in which failure or operation of the interface can result in an imminent risk to life, limb or health or cause serious damage to property or the environment (such as the operation of nuclear power plants, weapon systems, aircraft and motor vehicles)

Warranty and Liability

The provisions of the latest WAGO General Terms and Conditions of Deliveries and Services (GTC) apply as well as the Software License Terms for Standard Software (SW-License) applicable to software products und software embedded in WAGO hardware products, both available at: www.wago.com.

In particular, the warranty is void if:

• The interface is improperly used.
• The deficiency (hardware and software configurations) is due to special instructions.
• Modifications to the interface have been made by the user or third parties that are not described in this documentation and that has contributed to the fault.

Individual agreements always have priority.

Obligations of Installers/Operators

The installer/operator bears responsibility for the safety of an installation or a system assembled with the interface. The installer/operator is responsible for the proper installation and safety of the system. All laws, standards, guidelines, local regulations and accepted technological standards and practices applicable at the time of installation, as well as the products’ operating instructions, must be followed. Furthermore, the installation regulations of the approvals must be met. In the event of non-compliance, the products may not be operated within the scope of the approval.
