Performing Device Diagnostics

You can use various diagnostic functions to determine the status of the device via the WAGO Device Manager.

• Test the wiring of the device (see 8 Wiring Test via the “I/O Check” View).
• View the status of the device in relation to certain settings. You can find the device status in the lower area “Device Status/Actions” of the various tabs in the “Settings” view.
• View the LED status of the device in the “Settings” view on the “LEDs” tab.
• The status of the application is indicated by the “PLC” LED indicator in the left area “Devices in the Project” (see 8 Devices in the Project).
• Current (error) messages and information during configuration can be found in the message window (see 8 Message Window).
