Perform Restore

Please note the following information when restoring your data:

 

  1. You have added a device to your project (see  Add Devices in the Project).
  2. The device is connected online (see  Connect Devices).
  1. In the ribbon, click [Backup/Restore].
  2. In the “Restore” area, select the source of your backup file.
  3. If you select the file system as the source, a storage area is displayed.
  4. Drag the backup file (*.7zip) to the storage area.
    Alternatively, click [Browse] and select a backup file.
  5. Under “Restore,” enter the password with which you have saved the backup file.
  6. The file name of the selected backup file is displayed. Click [Choose another file] to change the backup file as needed.
  7. To restore the data from the selected backup file, click [Start restore process].
  8. The backup file is first loaded onto the device. The connection between the device and the engineering PC is terminated. The restore process, which can take about 20 minutes, then starts on the device. During this process, the WAGO Device Manager is only available in offline mode.
  9. After the restore process, reconnect to the device.
    Note that the device may be reachable at a different address if the network settings in the backup contains differ.
  1. The restore process is complete.
