Additional Steps after a Software Update

After a software update, certain steps must be performed in the WAGO Solution Builder software. The discussion of these steps assumes that you are already familiar with the software’s graphical user interface and the relevant technical terminology. For general information, see section  Graphical User Interface.

The corresponding steps are listed below:

 
  1. Updating addressing systems
    (see  Updating Addressing Systems)
  2. If solutions have already been created in the WAGO Solution Builder software, their addressing systems should be updated. This applies to solutions that use default addressing systems. If you use your own modified addressing systems, they should be harmonized with the current addressing systems.
  3. Reloading the device model and updating all linked device instances
    (see  Reloading the Device Model and Updating All Linked Device Instances)
  4. The lower-level device models need to be reloaded. The linked device instances are then updated.
