License Repository

You can use the icon for the general controls in the top right of the WAGO Device Manager. The license repository shows all licenses available on connected devices or on the PC to meet the license requirements of devices. New licenses can be added to the license repository using the corresponding buttons or (if not assigned/bound/activated) removed from the license repository.

Search______

Filters the displayed licenses for the entered string.

Columns

Opens the list of possible columns that can be shown/hidden using a checkbox. The column settings are saved for the following sessions.

License key according to license certificate (partially masked display)

Serial Number

Unique identification of the license purchased

Hardware ID

Serial number of the device on which the license is used

MAC address

MAC address of the device on which the license is used

Status

Status of the license agreement:

Free

Free
The license has been entered in the license repository via [New License] or read via connected devices and saved in the license repository. The license is not currently assigned to any device.

Assigned

Assigned
The license has been assigned to the device, i.e., it has been reserved for the device.

Bound

Bound
The assigned license has been saved on the connected device.

Activated

Activated
The license key has been sent to WAGO for verification and the license activated for the device.
Note: An Internet connection is required to synchronize the license key with the WAGO license server and to activate the license.

[Remove]

Removes one or more selected licenses from the license repository.

Note: The license status must be “Free” because assigned, bound, or activated licenses cannot be removed. In this case, first unassign the license in the “Licenses” view.

[New license]

Opens the 8 “License Repository – New License” dialog to add licenses to the repository.

[Reload]

Updates the list of license items.

[Close]

Closes the license repository.

Entry

Description

License Key*)

Enter one or more license keys from the license certificates of the purchased licenses.
(input: one license key per line).

Customer Name

Enter the customer name that was entered when the license was ordered.

Note: Pay attention to exact spelling! Depending on your selected license, an Internet connection may be required for entering and activating the license. Licenses that do not require an Internet connection for activation require the entry of the customer name. Ensure that you enter your customer name exactly as it is written in the email that you received when purchasing the license.

Professional Use*)

Confirmation of exclusive professional use and acceptance of the WAGO software license conditions are required for adding/using the new license(s).

Adds the new license to the license repository.

[Cancel]

Closes the dialog without saving changes and returns to the license repository.

[Close]

Closes the dialog without saving changes.
