The “VIEW” tab enables you to display or close workspaces and panels.

Product Catalog

Opens the “Product Catalog” panel (see Product Catalog)

Messages

Opens the message list (see Message Bar and “Messages” Panel)

Settings

Opens the “Settings” panel (see Settings)

I/O Mapping

Opens the mapping for inputs and outputs under Device Detail view (see I/O Mapping)

Cross reference list

Opens the cross reference list with the references of a variable in the project (see Cross Reference List)

Device Log

Opens the “Device Log” panel (see Device Log)

Bookmarks

Opens the “Bookmark” panel to view all bookmarks used in the program editor

Bookmarks can be used for all programming languages (except Sequential Function Chart (SFC) to make navigating in long programs easier.

Tip: To set / remove bookmarks or to display the previous / following bookmark, use shortcuts (see General).

„Programming“ Group

Tools

Opens the “Tools” panel and displays the elements used in the editor that can be moved by drag & drop in the editor, e.g., predefined function blocks or operators for programming

Visualization Tools

Opens the “Visualization Tools” panel and displays the elements used in the editor that can be moved by drag & drop in the editor, e.g., controls, measurement devices, scales or lights for visualization

Element Properties

Opens the “Element Properties” panel.
The panel is used to configure element properties of the selected visualization element.

Breakpoints

Opens the Breakpoints list (see Breakpoints)

Call stack

Opens the call stack (see Call Stack)

Monitoring

Opens a selection field with the commands “Monitoring 1, 2, 3, 4” or “View all forced values”, which display the corresponding watch list

“View all forced values” is a special view of all currently forced values. It enables “Program Organization Units” (POUs − program organization units of type program, function or function block) and a user-defined list of expressions/variables to be monitored.

License Manager

Opens the license manager (see “Licensing” Page)

Project Licensing

Opens the “Project Licensing” panel (see Project Licensing

Available Licenses

Opens the “Available Licenses” panel (see Available Licenses)

“Window” Group

Tabbed

Arranges the windows of the main view in individual tabs

Tile horizontally

Arranges the windows of the main view vertically (tiled horizontally)

Tile vertically

Arranges the windows of the main view horizontally (tiled vertically)
